About the exhibition

2026 Sungshin Women's University Department of Painting Graduation Exhibition 《Flux Point》 Within the countless flows of time and space, the coordinates of individuals share one another's trajectories and form a single fluid current: a flux. The 63-year history of the College of Fine Arts at Sungshin Women's University is the sum of the traces left by the many subjects who have crossed paths here. This exhibition records the turning point, the Flux Point, of 32 artists taking their first steps as independent creators beyond the institutional boundaries of the university. The shape of shifting coordinates may appear unstable. Yet as Fluxus, the avant-garde movement of the 1960s that dismantled the fixed forms of art and blurred the line between life and creation, showed, an unfixed flow is the very source of artistic energy that overturns systems. This subversive energy of Fluxus breaks down boundaries within the campus and unfolds simultaneously across three buildings. The images here thus escape the completeness of the fixed white cube and operate as variable presences in constant motion. The works, spread across three coordinates, are woven into a single map only through the crossing gazes and footsteps of visitors moving through physical space, and the friction that arises in between. The works gathered here are indicators of sensation at the center of artistic thinking still to change, and signposts pointing the direction of artistic inquiry. 「Flux Point」 is a record of the state created as these fluid flows cross and collide, and at the same time a starting point for moving beyond existing boundaries toward each artist's new trajectory. Open 10:00–19:00 · Opening reception 12.01 (Tue) 14:00
