We are making a game. Not a game that decides winners and losers by fixed rules, but a virtual board where each artist sets their own rules and there is no winning or losing at all. Each board is built on personal desires and tastes, and because everyone runs their own board, it can change without fixed rules. This game runs on belief. Depending on how beliefs multiply and accumulate, the world gains life and keeps expanding. But what do we believe to be real? Perhaps it is only a shell shaped by desire and taste. As if caught in a trap, beliefs that seemed solid collapse in an instant and waver on the line between real and fake. The name of the game we designed, <truehood>, is a word that does not exist. The noun form of true is truth, and the noun form of false is falsehood. Starting from there, we propose truehood: the structure of falsehood forced onto true. The word is awkward and incomplete. That is the point: rather than accepting fixed facts, we make fakes that look real in order to shake the boundary between them. <truehood> does not try to clearly separate the real from the fake. Instead, stepping beyond that boundary, we realize we are playing this game in earnest. Even if the scenery you encounter is fake, we hope you will follow the sincerity that shows through beyond it and connect to our world.
