Life and art both begin with the act of holding the world. From nearby landscapes to distant, unreachable worlds, artists capture what lies before them on canvas, endlessly trying to resemble something. Yet at the end of the time spent following the world they hoped to resemble, what they finally meet is themselves. The colors, lines and forms on the canvas go beyond traces of an outside world; they become 'my world', shaped by each artist's own gaze and senses. This graduation exhibition is where students of the Western Painting major lay out their journeys of holding the world in their own ways and discovering a world of their own along the way. We invite you to experience the artists' worlds, each filled with its own depth, through the visual landscape created as fourteen different worlds meet in a single space.
